Your Home and Eliminating Residential Pesticides

One of the largest sources of pesticide use is in the home yard and garden, multiplied over several million times. Therefore, addressing this soil and water contaminant issue in urban and suburban areas is a start with environmental education.

For many, the planting of trees and shrubs that are well suited to your area and careful attention paid to the initial watering schedule is enough to keep many pest infestations away. Weak plants send out a pheromone that insect pests hone in on.

Using common sense rather than a can of something when dealing with home invasions of insects, will greatly help this problem. Often there is a way to discourage an insect population away or out of your house completely. You can also remove or otherwise better contain what it is they’re coming into your house for, whether it’s heat or food.

Finding out the reason and addressing that issue, is far easier to treat than trying to fix the end resulting cause. We can control many types of environmental pollution by beginning in our yard and home.
